Byrne Bros. has experience of working in the aviation sector and dealing with issues associated with airside and landside working. Planning, logistics and security are critical components that add to the challenges of traditional construction.

Byrne Bros.’ experience includes working with the team on Terminal 2B Phase 2 at Heathrow Airport, producing the large open cut and blue sky structures airside, in a live airport environment.

We used lean construction techniques, maximising off-site fabrication of reinforcement and formwork, close to the airport, in order to consistently achieve the production volumes required to meet the programme.
