Old Road Campus

Headington, Oxford

It is a new purpose built, state-of-the-art research facility located in Headington, Oxford. It is an in situ concrete framed structure, built within a sheet-piled cofferdam, with two basement levels and three floor levels.

In view of the proposed use of the building there were laser treatment areas which required dense concrete walls as radiation screens. Internally there were two feature staircases, formed with exposed concrete beams and soffits, which have been used as examples of high quality work for other projects.
