Royal Academy of Engineering - Inclusive Cultures Project
Byrne Bros. have been involved in the Inclusive Culture Project commissioned by the Royal Academy of Engineering. The aim of the study is to provide the answers to three core questions:
1. How do people currently working in the engineering profession perceive the culture?
2. How inclusive is the culture of engineering currently?
3. How can the sector create a more inclusive culture for the future?
The project included a literature review, focus groups with more than 300 engineers from ten UK engineering companies, as well as an online survey that generated responses from over 6,500 engineers. The project will result in a published report which will include the identification of actions and themes that can be implemented to meet the needs of the industry in its efforts to create a more inclusive culture.
