LONDON 2012 OLYMPICS INTERNATIONAL BROADCAST/MAIN PRESS CENTRE
The design and construction of the multi-storey car park for the International Broadcast/Main Press Centre was awarded by Carillion Building. The design and build contract consists of a double height coach park at ground floor and three further suspended floors above this to accommodate cars. Scope of works includes: earthworks and piling, frame construction and the installation of internal finishes and cladding. The superstructure design has been developed using a DFMA (design for manufacture and assembly) alternative with a precast concrete and component beam construction. This will provide a high quality product with the benefit of earlier completion.
