Chorus has completed the refurbishment works for Westminster School in a scheme project managed and designed by Fielden Clegg Bradley. This comprehensive refurbishment project in a listed building included a new copper roof, removal of existing walls and slabs to alter floor levels, installation of new stand alone services with intelligent lighting and the provision of a new IT infrastructure within the classrooms. New kitchens were also installed and parliamentary offices were converted into state of the art classrooms. Works also included the construction of a new staircase that had to comply with English Heritage standards and be sympathetically incorporated within the building fabric. April 2005 |
