Both Ellmer Construction and sister company, Byrne Bros were successful in achieving RoSPA Gold awards this year.

 Ellmer achieved Silver standard last year and Bronze the year before, so the natural challenge for the safety team was to achieve a Gold award this year.

In contrast, the Byrne Bros safety team had not applied for a RoSPA award in previous years and was, therefore, unsure as to what to expect in terms of achievement standard. It was a pleasant surprise when, based on the strength of systems and processes as well as the general health and safety culture within the business, Byrne Bros was presented with a RoSPA Gold award.
