Construction Manager of the Year Awards The Byrne Group proudly announces the result of Ellmer Construction's finalist in this year's CIOB Construction Manager of the Year Awards, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, on 31st October 2006. Noel Sheehan reached the final in the fit out category for his outstanding contribution in the successful delivery of the BBC Recording Studios at Old Broadcasting House, Portland Place, London. Noel was awarded the gold medal in recognition of his achievement in delivering the project, which exceeded the expectations of the client in terms of aesthetics, delivery and performance. Noel’s ability to build strong relationships with the client and the client’s design team, to motivate his own team, and to lead them by example was crucial in securing the gold medal. There is no doubt that the award was a result of the outstanding team effort shown by all the staff involved. Ellmer wish to thank the BBC and their design and project management teams for their crucial contribution to the success of the project, and for the support given to Noel during the adjudication period leading up to the awards. A thank you also to all of those who attended the awards ceremony and supported Noel so vocally and in such numbers.
