2005 CIOB AWARDS Construction Manager of the
Year Awards The Byrne Group proudly announce the results of Ellmer Construction's two finalists in this year's CIOB Construction Manager of
the Year Awards, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel Park Lane on the 25th October 2005. Colin Caddy reached the final in the refurbishment and
fit out over £10M category for the total store refurbishment of Lakeside Shopping Centre, Thurrock, and Joe Halpin reached the final in the
refurbishment and fit out under £3M category for the Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation Development Centre, Leatherhead.  
We are delighted to announce that
both gentlemen were winners in their individual categories. Colin and Joe received Gold medals for the dedication and professionalism shown on
completing the two projects ‘on time and on budget’ and to the very highest of standards. We congratulate Colin and Joe on their outstanding
achievements as well as all the members of the Ellmer project teams involved. There is no doubting the fact that the awards were as a result of the
outstanding team effort shown by all the staff involved. We also would like to thank both clients, Capital Shopping Centres and the Queen
Elizabeth’s Foundation, as well as the clients design teams, for their crucial contribution to the success of the projects. We would also like to
thank everyone who attended the evening and supported Colin and Joe so vocally and in such numbers. More information on both Ellmer
